1950s Leawood kitchen. Multiple walls were removed to open it up and extend the workspace to the patio door to maximize usable counter surface and storage. A 100-square-foot bump out was added to the garage side of the kitchen and now serves as a spacious mud room with plentiful storage, laundry facilities, and indoor garage access. A door sourced from the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore was repurposed into the perfect pocket door separating the two spaces. Bright and spacious.
